Journey to a healthy you!

I got to the point in my life where whatever I do is exhausting, painful or impossible. From a simple climbing upstairs to short jog is painful and even made me thought of ending my short running career shorter than it is. :) 

It started with just shortness of breath, then rubbing pain on the knee and before you know it, you can't run as fast as you can way months before. You thought there's nothing wrong since you can still finish a half marathon within the time limit. Then it hit me, I saw one of my pictures during a 10K fun run and I didn't recognize the person. LOL! I am not a frequent visitor of the mirror to check myself out thus I didn't realize how bad I look. 

I asked help from one of my friends about her journey in losing weight and was introduced to a life coach. The advice was actually simple -- just eat at the right time and with balanced nutrition. This means getting the right types and amounts of foods and drinks to supply nutrition and energy for maintaining body cells, tissues, and organs, and for supporting normal growth and development.

Since I plan on losing weight -- remove all food that would likely to convert the food to fat from my daily consumption. I accepted the challenge for I have decided and committed myself in doing so.

Just followed the right percentage of each food group and increased the protein intake, I was able to lose weight in just 2 months. 

Now, I am still following the meal plan as I haven't actually reached my ideal weight yet and besides that, I have experienced other benefits in the journey. In my last 10K run, I didn't feel much pain on my knees and I was able to beat my last personal time of that same event. 

I hope my journey would inspire others!
